Wow, I just played another round tonite, it was very, intresting,
We finished the game on coop, it really sets up the story for halo 3...

Have to note a few corrections there:
1) MS didn't make the game, Bungie did. MS just owns Bungie.
2) Only XBOX gamers will be able to play this game. MS (IMO) would make quite a bit more if they ported it to PC, but we'll leave this horse alone.

I thought it was common knowledge, by "gamers" I obviously meant gamers with XBOXen.

Got it, played it, and it was what I expected.

Not what it was hyped up to be, but a good way to waste some free time when I want to. Click a few buttons and your in a game against 15 others from around the world. For some mindless fun, it is good.

Critics of it - To do things with "X" you have to hold it for longer, so you can't be a "hardcore ninja" and pick up guns really fast anymore. Rockets track ... takes away the fun. Some mays from Halo should of been kept, I don't like the changes made to Bloodgultch for instance.

also the physics for the vehicles has been turned way down, I remember when I used to have warthog smashing competitions where the only way to kill some one was to flip the jeep, they dont flip like they used to its still fun tho

I wish I had my Xbox here in NYC... I just moved from Indiana with my wife and for some reason she said winter clothes were more important for the first trip than my giant xbox. So sadly I am still without Halo2

shoot man. i just had it reserved and paid for the week before for about $50 something.
lol.

but i really enjoy the dual-wielding experience.
bringing down my brother in less than 4 seconds is amazing.
although he kills me some times quicker cause he is an expert at throwing granades into the corners im entering then scalping me with a quick melee attack.

havent tried LIVE yet though.

I'll go one worse, and say I'll buy it if it ever comes out for the Mac.

This isn't me being snotty - it's just that I have one console (GC), and don't need another - I don't have enough time to play through all the games I want to on that, so an XBox would be a waste of money.

My PC, although fast enough for most of my needs, struggles with Halo 1 - it's just the right side of playable. Halo2? I reckon I can forget about that.

So the Mac is the only option, if they ever get around to it. Luckily Metroid Prime 2 is about to hit the GameCube in a big way, so I don't feel too deprived - IMHO unless you're into multiplayer, which I'm not, MP1 was a lot more fun than Halo.

Halo 2 is an amazing game, im about 1/4 of the way through the campange keep getting side tracked by xbox live, the marines AI is brilliant too getting in a warthog and doing all the firing while you got a nutter going full wack around an area is well funny.

Im well impressed by live it just runs so well, havn't played with anyone having lag makes it great fun espically big battles of 8 a side.

And how great are bungie for having all the stats online including the map of where you were when got shot and shot someone.

A few SitePoint'ers are in the clan I started, and I generally play in some fun games. Sometimes some odd ones (me and a few mates try and create the weirdest custom games and then subject random people to them... ask naramation about the last one ).
