    Hi! The first step is submitting your website to search engines. There are many services that will do this for you for $25-$75 for 300 search engines. I also suggest adding META tags the the header of your website with keywords and a description of your website. Below is an example:

    <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="hosting, domain registration, control panel">
    <META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Everyone's Hosting provides hosting.">

    After doing that, depending on what you do, you may want to do paid Advertising Keyword purchasing at some search engines like goto.com will help people find you because they are searching for something similar, advertising in newspapers and magazines will help you get local clients, and radio ads. What kind of company is this, and I may be able to give you a few other tips.

    Hi there azurekeep..
    This post by you caught my eye because I'm a big fan of content more than anything. Yes, ezines, ebooks, and search engines are good.
    By far, though, the best viral marketing strategy I've found is writing fresh articles and submitting them literally everywhere!
    You can see some examples here:
    http://www.seedyourweb.com
    http://www.marketing-seek.com
    http://www.ideamarketers.com

    These are just a couple of examples. It sometimes takes a few months, but if you'll submit your original stuff to other webmasters and ezine owners, you'll start to see consistent, targeted traffic pretty quickly.

    Discussion boards are a great place to develop traffic, as long as your posts are not things like
    "Critique My site"...or something like that. If you provide good, quality advice, people will come to your site to see just who you really are.

    For example, if you give website design tips and they clamor to your site to see if your advice is not "Do as I say...not as I do", they'll want to get a look at your design elements. If you're a marketer, they'll want to know if your site is consistent with your philosophy.

    I hope this helps you. You're welcome to ask me anything else privately or here online. I welcome free marketing questions all the time. I may have a few for you in the future, myself.

    Have a really great, Spring day!
