If your computer is not connected, then people cannot access the database on it

If your host supports remote database access you can connect to your hosted database from your local computer (in case you want to debug it, or edit the structure, etc).

    Hi,

Let me make this very clear: YOU SHOULD NEVER TRY TO LET ANYTHING ON THE WEB ACCESS A DATABASE ON YOUR PC.

You CAN create a database on your pc along with your php scripts, and then upload the database and the php scripts to a web host where your php scripts will be able to access the information stored in the database just like they did on your pc.

I thought you gonna ask if you create a mysql database on your pc, how to export this db to the database server online

But, I never thought it was the other way round. Why would you want ppl to access your database on your pc ? DOn't you have access to Mysql database server ?
