    Display window on rollover

    Hello all,

    Paul helped me earlier to use a <span> to create a "display window" that I could have appear when the user rolls over a link. (example: www.faceproject.org/new )

    I would like to create the same thing for my calenar page. I can't understand what I have coded wrong, because the display window does not appear when I hover over the link. Here is a link to what the page looks like:

    www.faceproject.org/new/resources/calendar.html

    and here is how the display window should show when the user hovers over the link "January 11-13, 2005".

    http://www.faceproject.org/new/resou...ndar-test.html

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Matt

    Hi,

    IE needs some part of the anchor to change on hover otherwise it soesn't work.
    Add this:
    Code:
    #plain li a:hover {border:none}
    That will make the span show. However you have nested another anchor in the span which is invalid code. You can't nest anchors. the code will have to be like this:
    Code:
    	<ul id="plain">
    	 <li> <a href="#">January 11-13, 2005 <span><img src="images/CADCA-logo.gif"><br />
    		From January 11-13, 2005 CADCA will celebrate 15 years of the National
    		Leadership Forum. Join us in our celebration of CADCA and coalitions working
    		together to make our communities safe, healthy and drug-free.<strong>CADCA
    		National Convention</strong> </span> </a> - CADCA National Leadership
    		Forum at the Washington Convention Center </li>
    If you want anchors in the pop up to be clickable then you will need similar js to your drop downs etc.

    Thanks!

    You've been a great help for me while I've been working on this website. I don't like to think of where I'd be if it weren't for helpful people like you.

    I think I'm starting to get the hang of this CSS stuff

    we'll see...

    Thanks Again Paul!!

    Matt

    PS. I noticed it worked in FireFox but the hyperlink was "kicked" out of the span. Interesting that the two browsers work so differently at times.
