Alright, I need some real, accurate numbers on browser marketshare, with a link to a source. Can anyone save me?

Thanks Sid - very helpful! You're the man! Glad to hear NN is losing market share.

    I'd agree.

The stats I get from my sites show the overwhelming number of visitors are using IE.

Yes, definitely seems IE is gaining the lion's share.

I was going to originally give the URL for MyComputer but their standard free web reports no longer exist

I think it will be interesting to see how IE's market share changes when IE 6 comes out. Netscape users will be in a minority pretty soon, it seems.

Yeah, Netscape is losing ground. I haven't heard many good things about the IE6 beta version. I hope they don't release IE6 and people will hate it and switch to Netscape...

Remember that anyone who is using IE 6 right now is using a BETA version, not a release. Alos, you can uninstall the upgrade if you decide you want to. Go to add/remove programs. It's an option. Oh...and anyone that has used IE 6.0 with any of the Windows XP betas will tell you that it's great. The multimedia integration is second to none, and it gives ou incredible options that I never even thought of before using it.

Down with netscape. I have decided to ignore problems with netscape rendering HTML because it's not worth spending 3x the amount of time and energy for a tiny, tiny number of visitors.

Sounds callous, I know, but it's the harsh reality -- the hours I spend making pages that look great in IE4, 5, and 6 work in Netscape are better spent fixing bugs in PHP, new feature development, FREE TIME, etc.

I use IE6.0 on 2000 and have found no problems with it. I kind of like the Personal Bar thing -- it plays sounds RIGHT IN THE BROWSER instead of launching WinAmp or whatever, and it has my weather too!

Yes, but how many are AOL? IMHO NN sucks.
    Thank you for your time!
