Hello.
I need some reference to creative fashion sites. Yes I've found many but none is a good inspiration.
Thank you.
Oh. This is because I've to make an animation about fashion.

cool. An internet print mag reviewed a lot of fashion sites.
Here they are (no guarantees that they work, but the Magazine is the May 2001 edition).
Next to each url is the number of stars given to them in the mag.

www.akira.au.com is fantastic.

I don't get it. After I picked a place to click on..which wasn't terribly obvious, it hijacked my brower to full screen and started loading something..I never saw what, because I was needed access to something else at the time and since it covered my task bar and I had no browser controls and it wouldn't let me close the window I had to control alt delete to get rid of it. It might be a masterpiece of design in there somewhere, but that kind of site just annoys the hell out of me. I can't help thinking that just because it's something trendy doesn't mean it gets to take over your computer.

Ok.
'covered my task bar and I had no browser controls and it wouldn't let me close the window I had to control alt delete to get rid of it.'
I've to agree with you on that point. I hate when this happen.
It is not a site to visite every day because navigation isn't so obviously. But for a fashion site is very creative. And the way they show the clothes ... on a photo and you can rotate it. I think it's cool. It's complex but at the same time 'very clean'.
Bye.

I''ll have to take your word for that. I do like those 3d - look at all sides - type things, but I never saw it. I really couldn't get to to it.

Oh. By the way thank you mmj for all your sites.

Just as a little pointer -- if the screen goes to 'full-screen' mode, just press: ALT + Tab and the window will minimize.
Hehe, you think full-screen websites are bad?!? Some people like me browse websites by pressing: F11.
Cheers!

Thanks for the tip. It's come up more often lately, but mostly when accidentally happening into a pop-up ad hell, like you sometimes get with a commonly mispelled site name or something like that. The difference with pressing f11 is that you still have some browser controls and can minimize and also get to keep your task bar. This window covered all that up.

During the design of a web site I think we've to consider the usuability. And not everyone knows that kind of tricks.
The full screen is like a imposition.
(but that's my opinion)
I didn't really look at all those sites. Some of them are a bit hard to use.
But at least one can see what someone on the outside thinks of these sites.

Interesting sites. It was fun looking through them.
I must also admit I hate the full screen mode of some sites - extremely annoying!
