    Persistent Drop Down Menu

I have been searching the net and came across a few examples of CSS drop down menu's. Of course, I'll buy into the argument this could be reserved for js but I haven't found a working version of js to suit my needs. Has anyone ever built a horizontal drop down menu in CSS, when you hover over a menu item and scroll down the menu item, the color or image is the same as when you hovered over it?

These are a couple examples but not quite what I'm looking for:

    http://www.gazingus.org/html/Using_L...TML_Menus.html
    http://www.alistapart.com/articles/horizdropdowns/

Basically, the CSS needs to do this:
    http://javascript.cooldev.com/script.../demos/sizing/

Notice how the color stays the same even when scrolling down the menu. I don't think (because of requirements) that js will work for me, I'll have to pilot to see.

Any links to this in CSS would be appreicated.

    Hi Ryan,

    Not sure what you mean

This is the suckerfish dropdown but with additions to the highlighting.

    Is that what you mean?

The link above Paul is something like what I want. I'll have to play with the images, this is proving to the tough part at least for me. Thanks for the link.

You'll just have to use multiple classes (or id's) and assign a different bg image to each one. Its basically the same code except you have to cater for each item.
