    New Design vs Old Design

I'm trying to get some input on my new network design located at http://www.321templates.com is it better than the old design located at http://www.321webmaster.com ?

Either way what can I do to make it better. Thanks in advance guys.

the new design is a lot better than the old.

I like the light colours. looks a lot nicer as well.

old design is too dark. and the graphics don't look so nice.

hmm.. I had looked at the sites back at work on Firefox and everything looked fine. The new design looks great. Much nicer graphics, cleaner, slicker. But I just now loaded it in Opera 7.54 and the layout came out screwy. :/ The middle section, starting with "WELCOME TO 321 TEMPLATES", is placed all the way at the bottom below the bottom edge of the Other Info section. And the Make Money section shows up in the middle top section of the site. :/ The old design however showed up just fine in Opera.

Works fine in Opera here, I`m running all the lastest versions, the new design is much better, but you need more content in the new design, in the centre area, well done and good luck.

IMHO, the old one is better. Why? Because new one looks like many sites out there and the old one is rather unique (although not so good).

Anyway, keep the new one for business reasons

Not looking good on my Opera 7.54

The old one was better, more original; the new looks like a lot of other, or at least appear to.

That is one fat Dreamweaver box.

I also like the new site better, even if I'm not to fond of that whole "business" concept. Seem to me that all template sites look the same. I would though recommend som more "air" to the page, since it all look quite stuffed with text.

Agreed, even this one looks like it is based off one of those type of templates.

I prefer the older version myself.

I like both but the old one looks more orginial. The new does look more like a template but it is a template website. So if people like that design then they would expect good templates.

i to like them both, the old one had more orginal elements.

from a programming point of view try using '/{somepage} instead of '../../{somepage}' i think it will make it easier for you to read.

The new one is definitely better. Since it is for a template site, I don't see a problem with a template-ish looking design.

The template directory section in the middle is basically the same as your left nav, so is redundant. I'd scrap it, and move the featured templates section up. Since the featured templates section has thumbnails, this will help balance against all the text you have above the fold.

I think the new one is technically superior but the old one had a far more original and memorable look.

It's a bit cold. Maybe you could introduce more colour?

Defintely the new design, the old design was too bland, the new one looks professional and attractive.

Somone in this thread pointed out that the old design looks very orginal, and I am adding, it got some artistic touch into it and color blend is excellent througout the website (just remove the top banner Adv from old site).

New design no doubt looks neat but again this type of design becomes very common now a days, specially for template site.

So my vote goes for old one

This is easy, the new site is great. Clean, fast loading, and well-designed for its intended audience. Heck I might even buy something and I wasn't looking.

Thanks for all the input guys. For the record the new design is custom made, as was the old one. This isn't a "template"

I am very suprised at the very different reviews.

I like the new site much better!

Its spaced out more and the light colors are better.

Just has a more relaxing feel to it.
