    a href problem with Firefox

    Hey guys.

    First post - so sorry if I get anything wrong - please let me know and I will correct my behaviour on this forum.

    Ok. Here's the problem. I have a heading which is also a link within a div. In Firefox the text does not perfom as a link but in IE6 it works as intended. The code is as follows:

    HTML:

    <div id="header">
    <h1>
    <a href="index.html">Balls to Africa</a>
    </h1>

    </div>

    <div id="links">
    <p>
    <a href="">Link One</a> :: <a href="">Link Two</a> :: <a href="">Link Three</a> :: <a href="">Link Four</a>
    </p>
    </div>

    END

    CSS:

    #header {
    position:absolute;
    padding-left:49px;
    padding-top:25px;
    height:75px;
    background:url('../images/ball.png');
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    }

    #links {
    position:absolute;
    padding-left:49px;
    padding-top:60px;
    }

    END

    I think that is all. I have put the links div in to show that it does work - the links work fine in div#links but not at all in div#header.

    Hope that is clear enough. If this isn't enough code to go on let me know and I can point you in the direction of the rest of it.

    Thanks for any help.
    Regards.
    Andy.

    Modify you code you code as follows:

    Change this
    Code:
    <div id="header">
    <h1>
    <a href="index.html">Balls to Africa</a>
    </h1>

    </div>

    <div id="links">
    <p>
    <a href="">Link One</a> :: <a href="">Link Two</a> :: <a href="">Link Three</a> :: <a href="">Link Four</a>
    </p>
    </div>
    To this:
    Code:
    <div id="header">
    <h1><a href="javascript:;">Balls to Africa</a></h1>

    <div id="links">
    <p>
    <a href="javascript:;">Link One</a> :: <a href="javascript:;">Link Two</a> :: <a href="javascript:;">Link Three</a> :: <a href="javascript:;">Link Four</a>
    </p>
    </div>
    </div>
    You need the first div closed out after the second one, works cross browser now.
