Question problem playing flash in FireFox ???

Recently (mid-September), I installed FireFox (version 1.0 Preview Release).
When I browse USA today (www.usatoday.com) for their interactive coverage, the message shows "Your Browser does not have the current Flash plug-in).
So I followed the link, and installed the Flash player, and during the isntallation process, it clearly includes FireFox browser).

The question is: using FireFox, still cannot view the USAToday's interactive features. Is there something to check on the FireFox browser, or twick the configuration? (There's no problem viewing the same thing from IE). From Netscape 7.1: also works fine.

    Thanks in advance.
    Andrew.

    Hello

If the Flash plug in is installed it should be working, I would try to install it again and see what happens. Just my 2 cents.

    Hope it helps

    Question

I have tried several times (at least 5!!! every once a while), but still can't get it working. Don't know why? I think it must be some configuration on the FireFox side (because the Netscape 7.1 which is also based on Gecko does work).
Anybody can give me some hints?

    Andrew.

It appears that each interactive coverage flash piece has been initiated using a javascript piece of code. It is looking for version 6 of flash. My knowledge of javascript is not the best, but I would say that this has something to do with it!

I was getting the same errors that you were getting using firefox 0.9.3, so I tried putting it in a blank page without the javascript for you...

Someone should probably tell usatoday that a lot of people may be battling to see their flash pieces!

Thumbs up FF flash players on usatoday.com

    Wineo:

Thanks. FireFox can play your test.
I sent a feedback to usatoday.com about this.
Hope they fixed it. I like their interactive designs very much.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.
