    Background repeat issue with IE?

    I'm pretty much stymied, and would appreciate any help.

    Check out

    http://barsoom.hyboria.net/taiphoon/main-page.htm

    in IE Win. The set of images that runs above the menu bar repeats itself once, below the menu bar. Can anyone explain why that is? Doesn't happen on any other browser. The code is simple. I'm confused.

    Any assistance would be most gratefully received, thanks!

    Try adding the height attribute to #logo.

    Code:
    #logo {
    	background: url(header.jpg) no-repeat 300px 0px;
     height: 87px;
    	margin-bottom: .5em;
    }

    A height should fix it but it seems the problem is caused by the negative margin on your navlist.

    Changing your navlist to this cures the problem.

    Code:
    #navlist { top: -1.5em;position:relative}

    Thanks so much, everyone who posted so helpfully. I believe the problem is now fixed.

    Can somebody explain what the problem WAS in the first place? Why did using a negative margin cause IE to repeat the background image?

    Thanks again!
