div instead of frames
heya!
Please take a look at the site i'm designing for a friend... http://tkirstentje.tk
the problem is , i use div's now instead of frames but when you look at the Guestbook page (http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/g...astenboek.html)at the bottom there's much space and i can't seem to remove it.. i use height:100%, any other ideas? And another problem is the title doesn't seem to center when i resize the page...
that's it, i hope somebody knows it

Hi,
And another problem is the title doesn't seem to center when i resize the page...
I couldn't see what space you were talking about as there was no space at the bottom on that page you linked to.
Also I don't know what you've done to my cursor as it won't stop flashing now even when I'm not on your site

thanks for the title help! i fixed it and it works
about the cursor thing.. i use VBScript on that page and somehow it screw up the mouse cursor, i didn't find any code to fix that yet
http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/g...astenboek.html does have a space, scroll down to the bottom of the page and at look to the left the div doesn't end! because height:100% takes only the window screen not the whole content, any ideas?

LOL
Believe me there's a space because the div doesn't end at teh bottom like it should, anybody got any idea how to fix this, height:100% doesn't do the trick...
Maxor: don't reply if you have nothing better to say!

about the space, i use 4 div's on my pages
#topcolumn
#leftcolumn
#rightcolumn
#centercolumn
the left an right div(where the menu is) doesn't reach the bottom of the content.. it only takes the screen height 100% so when you scroll down there wil be space!! Best visble on the http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/g...astenboek.html page
thanks for yr time

The left and right columns are not connected to the centrecontent in anyway so theres no way they will react with the centrecontent height. Your left and right columns are absolutely placed anyway which basically mean that as far as they are concerned there is nothing else on the page.
The only element that will resize in relation to another element is a table. Therefore as you have used tables already you may want to look for a table solution. Otherwise you will need something like my 3 col demo (sticky thread) which achieves a 100% layout but at the cost of some complexity. Howver you have so much going on in that page it may not be feasible.
I don't see that it matters as the page is black anyway so there seems to be no problem as it is. Unless you have something else in mind of course.
