I need some new music to listen to, something following the lines of millencolin, a new found glory, the atari's, mxpx, yellowcard, etc.
Got any suggestions?

I listen to old(er) punk: NOFX, Bad Religion, No use for a name, etc.
Off Topic:
Yellowcard's not punk![]()

Yeah I know, hehe, it's fairly close though - what category would you put it in? (alternative?)![]()

Misfits.

Yellowcard is not punk-rock... they are however pop-punk which puts them in the same classification as the rest of the bands that plat listed. Now let me go down the list: (note - some of these bands merely touch upon the punk genre with heavier roots in other genres)

Some more obscure punk if you want to do a little searching (or just head on over to Fat Wreck Chords):
Propaghandi
Diesel Boy (there are two of these: a punk band and a drum and bass DJ, so be careful when you buy CDs but both are good anyway)
Bracket

Propaghandi = Horrible.

If you don't like vegans from Winnipeg then yeah. They have a couple of good songs though, mostly from about 10 years ago.Originally Posted by The New Guy

"Mate Ka Moris Ukun Rasik An" is by far their best song... Actually - All of "Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes" is good.

Indie has developed itself into a genre - Just as pop has, and punk has.Originally Posted by The New Guy

Well for some good rock bands:
Incubus - Check out everything although if you new to them stick with Make Yourself, Morning View, and A Crow Left of the Murder
Foo Fighters - Honestly the only true rock band left in the world IMHO
Weezer - I wouldn't know how to classify them but they are good anyways
Red Hot Chillie Peppers - Good stuff.

Yeah thursday, thrice and lost prophets are all sounding good at the moment.
But the Killers have really impressed me - some nice influences in that band (joy division, smiths etc) and great songs![]()

staind, jet ! if you want something a lil bit more rock!

On that note, check out Jet Set Satellite as well. Also - Ludo, and Deville.
Edit: And vinnie - since when have Fat Wreck bands been obscure![]()
