    Problem with IE spacing

    SITE: http://adropofmorningdew.com

    The site looks perfectly how I want it to in Firefox, but in IE there is too much space underneath the "Home" link. I want it to be evenly spaced, like how it looks in Firefox. Any solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Its the difference in the margins applied to the p element and the hr.

    You can supply ie different values to even things up (or vice versa).
    Code:
    p.nav
    {
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 13px;
    margin:0;padding:8px 0 0 0;
    }
    html>body p.nav {margin-bottom:10px;padding-top:10px;}
    However the best answer is not use the horizontal rule but use a div with a height of xxpx (1px or 2px or whatever) and also add overflow:hidden to the style as ie needs this to reduce the elements height as required.

    This is more consistent than the hr which varies between browers.

    Paul
