    need a bit of css help

    I'm proud to say I have gotten this far mostly on my own thanks to this forum!!!! My second all css page and it's been rough, but fun.

    Here is my problem.
    In Explorer 5.2 and Firefox on the mac, the Hershey Dates section extends beyond the "page" or actually the page doesn't extend to include the long list of Hershey Dates section. Actually it does extend in IE on the PC but not Firefox on the PC and it does extend in Safari on Mac. Anyone know why this might be happening.

    The other problem is...I wanted to make the list of dates shorter, so I wanted to put them side by side. I put a float:left on the ul and it did make the 2 lists side by side, but the white background disappeared. Does anyone know why?
    You can view html and css here:

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Here's the fix to one of your problems. You have specified height:100% for your left side and for your textcontainer. Mozilla will apply exactly 100% (if it applies it at all - see faq on 100% height) and wilnot expand what you need is min-height for moz and height for ie.

    You also need to clear the floats to make the parent extend around them.

    Code:
    #left{
     float: left;
     width: 33%;
     margin:0;
     padding:0;
    min-height:100%;
    }
    * html #left{height:100%}
    #textcontainer {
     width: 755px;
     padding: 0;
     margin: 0px auto;
     min-height: 100%
    }
    * html #textcontainer {height: 100%;}
    .clearer {
     height:1%;
     overflow:hidden;
     clear:both;
     margin-top:-1px;
    }

    Code:
    		  <li class="leftDates"> Wed, 1-19-05 </li>
    		  <li class="leftDates"> Thurs, 1-20-05</li>
    		</ul>
    	   <br class="clearer" />
       </div>
    Sorry I didn't have time to look further as I'm just finishing for the day
