Our site decided to begin selling e-books in PDF format. I was just wondering if anybody has experience using some software that allows people to pay and then gives them an unique access code to to download from that is only open for a single period or short point of time?

    Hi pjman,

IBill.com offers a new password solution for sites like yours. You can read the release here http://www.ibill.com/News/ibillPR/News_34.cfm

Overall their prices are good and I've heard the service is rather good, also. They are worth a peek... http://www.ibill.com

Globill-Systems http://www.globill-systems.com is another company that helps membership based businesses.

What you are talking about is similar to the system in use by netlibrary.com.

I mean they allow people to register/read an ebook for a short time. I am very sure that that you know about it and, can you find out from them if the ibill service is not want you require.

Again, you will find all want you want at ebookpublishingtips.com.

http://www.cgiscriptcenter.com/ offers a program called Account Manager that may be able to help. I am not sure if it can do everything you need it to do but it is worth checking out. I have never used this particular program but I have used others from that company and they are top notch.
