    IE and FireF Opacity Question

    I am trying to get the opacity to work on one of my images. Here is what I have in the style sheet.

    .seethru {position:absolute;

    filterrogidXImageTransform.Microsoft.BasicImage(opacity=0.15);
    moz-opacity:0.90;
    top:110px;
    left:200px;

    }

    This is the html

    <div class="seethru"><img src="computer.gif"></img></div>

    It works in IE, but not in firefox. What browsers can you do opacity with?

    Thanks

    Not sure why you are not doing the opacity in a graphics editor but the reason FF is not playing nice is the code you have for opacity is propreitary M$ code.

    Try setting the opacity in a graphics editor, that way you wouldn't have to worry about browser issues, at least in initial thought.

    Firefox uses a different method for opacity:
    Code:
    .Opaque {
    /*IE proprietary method*/
      filter: alpha(opacity=15);
    /*standard CSS3 method, works in Safari and Mozilla*/
      opacity: 0.15;
    /*proprietary Moz method for older versions of Moz/Netscape*/
      -moz-opacity: 0.15;
    }

    No such thing yet. I'm sure they will support it soon though, since their CSS3 support is probably the most advanced out of any browser out there.
