you could try www.registerfly.com. Domain names are $6.99 I believe but they do have specials from time to time.

I think that looking to save $1 to $2 {the difference with going with a bigger player} is not worth it.
Too many horror stories about people loosing domains due to not being able to get in touch with the registrar.
I use GoDaddy and I am very happy.

If you can get an Enom account for $8.95 or below I'd stick with it - if you manage a lot of domains you don't want to find yourself stuck with a shoddy admin system just to save a few bucks.
