    Thanks, one step closer! The site I found it on said it was a Japanese ad and I am ignorant in both languages so I made that error.

    I changed the title of the thread, hopefully that will help out.

    Also, this post serves as a shameless bump.

    Also, I want to live in that apartment.

    Ok, it's not Japanese! I was ignorant and mislead!

    C'mon, I know someone here understands Chinese! Do it for trampt's birthday! (happy birthday)

    (Also, can anyone with suitable mod privilages change the title that shows up when you are looking at the thread before clicking on it? The change made to the title of this thread didn't propogate.)

    oookay. I have no idea why people would say that thing was Japanese. It was Cantonese. And I am by no means fluent so I had to ask my mom. :P She didn't quite get the point of the commercial and thought it was just plain stupid, but apparently the voiceover guy is saying something along the lines of "Can shoot/play so well, but still can't beat Lipton Tea. Find someone to play (mahjong) with." or some junk like that. They don't actually say the word mahjong but it's implied that's what they are talking about. umm.. yeah... that's what I think that commercial said. ^^;

    To the referring link's credit, it is possible that the ad was created by a Japanese firm or a Japanese person, I don't know. Most likely, this was just ignorance, coupled with the fact that there is a lot of odd stuff that comes out of Japan.

    Thank you! That leaves a few questions unanswered, but I feel closer to the truth. (I think my Mom would think the ad was dumb too, were she able to understand the language.)
