    is it just me, or...

    is it just me (and my stupid insistence on using IE6) or are none of the links on the right side of this page clickable -- http://tantek.com/log/2004/09.html

    i mean, we all know this browser is cr@p, but come on, it's not that hard to create a page that works in IE6

    i wouldn't normally care (i'd just leave and go someplace else), but this site happens to belong to a guy that should know how to write cross-browser code

    is he thumbing his nose at us (IE6 users), or has he perhaps forgotten to test his css?

    i mean, of all people...!!

    It's not just you. Though you may be the last one still using IE, on purpose anyway.

    I'm not sure you can really hang this one on the designer, other than he probably didn't test in IE. And why would you? They are just links! His only sin appears to be using span tags on the text within the links that don't have their applied classes defined.

    No Links

    No, you're absolutely right - no go on the right side in IE6.

    But I've got a sneaking suspicion that this is exactly the
    'effect' that was sought! Wondering about the @import
    css sheet called "undohtml"...

    [Interesting]

    Tantek's been known to do screwy things to his site for IE users. At one point last year I think he redirected them to a totally useless page even.

    thanks vinnie

    i used to have a lot of respect for the guy, based on the amount of work he must've put in just to come up with the various css hacks that are named after him

    but if this was done on purpose, it's pathetic, unprofessional, and just plain stupid, and the guy is an idiot

    Hi,

    If anyone wants to tell him then here is the simple code to fix his site.
    Code:
    #intraroll, #extraroll {
     width:140px; /* border-box-width: 160px */
     float:right;
     position:relative;z-index:100;
    }
    The right column is just underneath which is why you can't click the links. A simple beginners error I think (only joking).

    Also the page is about 200% wide in ie (for various reasons) but I couldn't be bothered to fix those issues as well lol

    Don't hold back Rudy - say what you really think

    (Although I have to agree if that page is a mess in ie on purpose ).
