mac & ie background image probs
I've designed this page, which looks fine from a PC, but the background image partially disappears and distorts when viewed on IE explorer from a mac. Also, some strange red/maroon bars appear at the borders of the image that shouldn't be there. I assume it's some kind of css incompatibility? I'd love some help regarding this. thanks! Jo

oops
Wow. I completely meant to include my link...thanks for the heads up. The page that I can't get to display properly in Explorer on a MAC is found at http://www.mcmastermm.ca/dacko/cv.html.

Off Topic:
This should probably be in your CSS file rather than your HTML.

still no solution
Yes, I did have quotes originally, but then I read somewhere that quotations around a background image are actually unecessary, and can actually be the cause of distorted images. So, I removed the quotes, but nothing is working any better. Still not too sure how to fix the problem....

I've just copied your page across to my old iemac 5.1. (as its not connected to the net anymore) and your page looks much teh same is iepc. I couldn't see any marron borders and theimage looked ok.
