Question I would like advice on different site 'navigation' methods...(samples in post)

Hello. I am trying to determine what might be the best way for users to navigate my website. The only examples that I could find that are similar to what I have been considering are:

    http://www.graduates.com/signup.asp

    http://www.reunion.com/

    http://www.alumni.net/

I notice that each one seems to differ in how the links work. Graduates uses .asp and it seems quite fast to get to the next page. I don't know what reunion.com is using but it seems quick too. Alumni.net seems much slower than both of those.

My site is similar except that I am listing Counties > Cities > Churches.

Is there an advantage to using one method over the other?

Or would you have another suggestion for how I should approach this?

    Thank you.

They are just different scripts and written in different languages. ASP is on a Windows server. I prefer hosting it on Linux servers...
My suggestion would be just to finthe script you like the best, or to have one custom written for you...

So what is comparable on a Linux Server? I actually liked the .asp the most but I have a Linux server to host my site.

That ASP may be good, and fast, and there is nothing wrong if you choose to go with that one. You would need a windows hosting account though...Really do some searching around maybe at www.hotscripts.com

I am using a Linux server...so what language would you recommend? Is there an advantage to choosing Perl over PHP?

    thanks.
