How to stop caching a website from visitors ?

That page [which was mentioned in a post above which has now been deleted] is way out of date. When they say netscape, they mean 4.x, and I'm pretty sure when they say "IE" they mean version 4 of that, too. And pragma:no-cache is now a deprecated hack. Include it to help keep older browsers in line, but don't rely on it.

For newer browsers, you should use your favourite server-side scripting language to set appropriate HTTP cache-control headers:
