Logo Critique
I am revamping my rock climbing website and I am looking for some feedback on the logo i am using at the top of this page.
Any ideas, suggestions, critiques, comments or compliments will be fully appreciated! Thanks.

Its ok. But the double K triggers off my stutter. Why don't you experiment using the K within the word 'korea' or even developing the type face for the whole word or even the sentence. Its a shame its such a long .com name.
As for everything else. It looks good. I like your use of colours.

It's nice...although it has a sort of "comicy-feel." (Maybe that's what you are after?) The logo doesn't scream rock climbing though (at least in my humble opinion!).

Hello there Bush!
I had never seen such a good use of bright colors!
I tend to dislike bright themes, but the harmony that you managed to implement in the design is very impressive!

Yea, I agree great colors for this site. Although, what about some element in the logo for rock climbing? A rough outline of the gear that is used? Or a rock wall within the header?
I'm not a rock climber but I am thinking of something that gives a user more of an idea of what the site is all about.

I like the 'K' graphic; but I agree, make it part of the word korea and that would be even better.

Yellow is one of my least favorite colors, but it really pops nicely on this site. Good job working with what is a difficult color, at least to me!
The logo, however, I find to be less impressive. It reads as a K with some confusing elements and doesn't give me any information about either rock climbing or Korea. It seems like it would be possible, and IMHO better, to incorporate a graphic K into the site's title and use a rock-climbing figure on the straight vertical side of the K (here -->K). Just an idea.
Good luck / ag

personally, I like the climber hangin' off the yingyang symbol much better.
It incorporates everything very nicely and I understand what I'm looking at. The forum colors are nice, but a little bright for me, with that logo though, you have to think about what you're seeing to know where you are.
Don't get me wrong, nice work, I just prefer the original logo.default signature

I really like the logo. It's bold, has presence, dynamism, and makes me think of rocks and climbing - great job!
I recommend that you increase the negative space gaps a bit, to increase its legibility. Think about what might happen when it's put onto a flier, t-shirt, or chalk bag.. it has to be recognisable which means having a distinctive outline or shape, and that relies on good thick lines or heavy shapes with sufficient white space between them to tell them apart.

Busch, you have a talent for color schemes! The original (red/blue) mix is usually taboo because of the tricks it plays on the brain. I am amazed how used that trick to your advantage. I envy your skill.
About the two different logos though; I'm naturally biased toward the yin-yang because of what it represents. But, that's me. I think the K logo fits better for the site... and again, great work with the yellows. I agree with some of the other replies--- incorporate the K into the title.
I challenge you to use both!

The opinion seems to be mixed on this, but the yellow K says neither Korea or Rock Climbing to me. I like it, but it doesn't seem as relevant as your old logo.
However, the site as a whole looks great. Good stuff.

Thanks for all the feedback. I will work on incorporating the K into the name as well as making it speak more of rock climbing. i'll post it when its finished.

I like everything about this layout except for the logo K and the K to Korea being right next to each other. I like the idea mentioned above about using the logo K as the K in Korea.

I personally wouldn't change a thing. And, like someone said earlier, the color scheme is awesome!

Further to what has already been said, why not make the logo K look like rock? Either carved in or carved out of rock?

I don't like the "K". It's too fat IMO. It also doesn't look like much of a logo, no offense, it just sort of looks like someone threw it together at the last minute. I agree that it doesn't represent rock climbing.
I also found the yellow too bright for me to concentrate my eyes on anything specific, so if it were me, I wouldn't have stayed on the site long.
Good luck with it

The logo isn't that bad, it's an improvement on what was on the previous page. As a rock climber, I can sort of see some dynamic movement in the logo -- it kind of looks like he's flagging his foot to make a dynamic move.
That being saig it is a little too fat and bright, maybe tweek it out the arms of the K a little more too look like and acutal rock climber.
