Filling in PDF file with a PHP script

    Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to dynamically fill in a pre-defined PDF form with a MySQL database entry. Say if you wanted to fill in a Tax form with a bookkeeping client's info. Anyone have any idea if this is possible?

    Thank you,
    Chris S.

You could just use PHP and a pdf class/library created for PHP to dynamically create pdf's.

Yes, but if you have a pdf already created, and it would take quite a while to create again programmatically, is there a way to open up an already-generated PDF form and fill it in?

    Thank you,

I'm looking for the same thing. I don't have the server permissions to install a PHP library into /usr/lib as many of the applications I've seen require; something about using a shared server.

Seems to me there ought to be some way for Acrobat to parse URL variables. That would make everyone's life much simpler.
