It has been made public that record companys have been in talks with Microsoft about longhorn - the 2006 operating system. It has been said that they are urging Microsoft to include privacy functions and such to make it almost impossible for people to download tracks and burn them to a CD.
With that in mind - remember Microsoft has released a WMP 10..which has a rip function in which people can use media player 10. If they were to make it harder for pirates, then they would have to realease a WMP 11 or 10.2 which disables the rip function on copyrighted material..
What are your thoughts on this?
