ASP not working ok in PWS

Can anybody help! I just installed PWS on 2 machines (XP & 98).

The problem is that I can run the ASP files in the wwwroot folder when I use http://localhost from my browser or RUN (and that's for the default.asp). But the asp files do not work when I call them from a hyperlink in an HTML file.

If I do that, all I see are the contents of the asp file.

CAN ANYBODY HELP?? I AM ROOKIE AT THIS.

Are you caling your initial html file from http://localhost?

This is a must because if you just doubleclick an html to fire it up in your browser, you are still using file:///C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/such_and_such.html and you haven't invoked PWS (your server).

This means that when you click a link to your asp you will be still using the file. ie: file:///C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/such_and_such.asp

You'll see it in your address bar.
