    Hello,

    I have several links on my site and I would like to find a way so that when a user
    runs their mouse over the link it doesn't show up in the status bar at the bottom
    of their browser.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

    As far as I can remember, it is not possible to actually lose the links, but you can put a tagline on it, so that nothing can be seen easily.

    Use some code in the body definition like:

    Code:
    <BODY OnLoad="window.defaultStatus='Hello!';">
    You can go further wth it, do scrolling messages, etc - but they don't look all that good. If you did want to use them, then the Javascript Source is packed full with them.

    But, to lose the whole traditional IE thing altogether, consider the new project @ microbians - Chromeless windows.. where you lose everything, and define your own status bars/title bars, etc.

    Their URL is www.microbians.com - and well worth a visit (it's pretty cool )

    Add this onMouseOver to your links...

    <a href="http://www.google.com" onMouseOver="window.status = '';return true;">Google</a>

    note: those are two single quotes after window.status =
