I wonder why the new table backgrounds i've put on the front page of http://www.adecec-corsica.com slow down IE's scrolling considerably, while on Mozilla and Netscape (even netscape 4), the scrolling's normally slick.
Can't Internet Explorer handle 3 table-backgrounds one onto the other ? The little transparent GIF aren't heavy in bytes, though...
    I'm lost again.

Shin Ma, I cna't explain fully why this happens in IE.
In a breif statement, are there any IE specific code?

So only certain stuffs are loade dby iE, and not by netscape? If so, check those codes.

Your code comprises of numerous tables. One after another. That would require alot of rendering. When loading your site, it took very long to show the main page content. can't be due to file size..as i'm on fast connection.

WEIRD..I'll try to check your code when I get home.

Well, i put my mind to resta bit, and then got back to the page, reduced the tables-complexity, and found the guilty thing: backgrounds for the table on the center where 1x2 pixels half-transparent GIFs. So, i made them 400x2, and now, that makes IE display them 400 times less, and the scrolling is smooth again

Still, that's a terrible limitation in IExplorer's rendering engine...
