    Hey Everyone...

Microsoft recently released their first Public Preview of their newest browser. The major changes are concentrated to IE rather than OE (Outlook Express) but there have been some great asethetic enhancements, making IE still my favourite browser

You can read more about it here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/preview/default.asp

and see some screenshots that I created here : http://www.bluishgecko.net/ie6/

It's also a good idea to join these newsgroups:

    news://microsoft.public.windows.inet...e6beta.browser
    news://microsoft.public.windows.inet...outlookexpress
    news://microsoft.public.windows.inet....ie6beta.setup

And be careful, this is beta software and is guarenteed to break

    Thanks,

    James

    Geez..Thanks.
I've been trying to get it 2 days ago....
Was supposedly up, then they took it down. Glad its up again. Guess they faced some problems.

Users have reported many bugs which could crash the computer..so downlaod with extreme caution. ( i would still..heck...the features are cool )

It seems to me that its becoming mroe then a browser....with all the messenging, media options and more. Is it a good thing?

I would love to have the option of choosing which to install..like not have messenging feature etc.
Isn't it becoming more then MSN Explorer?

Certainly enough, IE6 looks promising. At least on the outlook.

believe it or not, this might be something that I would not want to install. I agree with Lyon...they better give us the option of installing all that crap.

Interesting how some of the buttons in the screenshots look suspiciously like ones from NS 6...

Goof...that's just because Mac users are insecure. They have to have pretty colors or they start thinking their computer is worthless.

    oh...wait...it IS worthless!

Well the install program looks like IE5's, at least when used on Win98. So you can choose not to install MSNMessenger and OE.
On Win2K you don't have any options, you take what they give...
