It loads so bloody fast--I love it. And I didn't even need to reinstall my extensions!

Is there a Pagerank checker that works with Firefox 1.0 PR. The older ones PR checkers are for 0.9 release.

Yeah. I think that is a leftover from the Mozilla Suite. However, if you're dying to have that feature back, you can always use the minimize to tray extension. It has the turbo feature available.

There are only a couple things I dont like about it.

    1. It displays borders incorrectly sometimes. I have a layout I made with a 3px border and a 1px border on it and firefox shows them as the same size. My page displays correctly in ie.

Maybe I am doing something wrong.

If you would like to see the page for yourself here is the link. Thanks a bunch!

I'm going to fall back to my stock statement as to why your page doesn't display correctly. It doesn't validate to W3C specifications. For starters you need to get it to validate to HTML and CSS specifications. The following two links show HTML and CSS errors on your page respectively: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...t3/layout3.htm
    http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...t3/layout3.htm

Get the "Web Developer" extension for Firefox (Tools ==> Extensions ==> Get more extensions). This will add some great tools and options to the right mouseclick in the Firefox browser window such as the ability to quickly validate a webpage as I demonstrated for you.

You will find that Firefox makes a great development and testing browser because of extensions like "Web Developer" that make the job much easier. In addition by testing in Firefox as opposed to MSIE, you won't get trapped by browser specific issues or "features" that cause pages to not display correctly in other browsers.

I downloaded the web developer extension, and I love it! It's really awesome. Thanks again.

I've been using firefox for about a week now. I'd tried older versions of Mozilla, as well as Opera, and Netscape in the past, but always came back to using IE. Not this time though...Firefox blows IE away. Live bookmarks are awesome, and searching is really easy with the built-in search box. Plus it's faster than IE, and it hasn't crashed on me at all, IE used to crash at least once/day.

yeah, its quite annoying, atleast for those who might've already practised hitting ctrl E.

another such annoying change is between FF on Linux and FF on Win. On win the preferences menu is in Tools->Options and on Linux it is in Edit-> Preferences. The reason for it is supposed to pertain to the GNOME HIG. But for people using both Linux and windows, its kinda confusion

oh! think you should file a bug on bugzilla or use the Quality feedback agent and report the problem. It'd help them correct any issues if present

Probably the source of his problems right there... Ever since I stopped installing that my problems with Firefox are virtually nil and it only uses half the memory.

I have been using the latest Preview Release of Firefox and I am yet to have an issue.

It also appears to loadquicker than IE.
