Does anybody want to do me a really big favor and help me through the steps of setting up a database driven website using PHP? Ive been wanting to do it for some time but I can never seem to be able to do it on my own. Thanks a lot.

Hmm, sure. I think I can help.

    1. Open a web browser
    2. Go to http://www.webmasterbase.com/article.php/228/ ("Building a Database-Driven Web Site Using PHP and MySQL")
    3. Read.

    Have fun

Also, I'd recommend posting in the PHP forum. I'm personally biased against PHP (anyone on the forums knows that i'm an ASP fan ). You probably would get more responses there, though.

Read the thread that is linked to in my signature (courtesy of Skunk). It lists every resource you need to get up and going with php and mysql. Also, as goober says come over to the PHP forum and post any queries there - you'll be safe from the ASP weirdo's there

I remember the first time I saw visual basic code - and someone told me that MS had written an interpreter that actually compiled it! I knew I was in trouble right there and then!

Syd, you are SO lucky I know how to avoid arguments.

lol. The last thing I need is another ASP vs. PHP debate.

PHP users don't know what's best for them.
