    Hi -

    A slight deviation from my last question:

    Does anyone know how the moreover.com service works? Specifically, how do they manage to insert text from their end (from a database, or input file), into a user's page simply by means of Javascript etc.

    The answer to this question has been evading me for a while, especially since the user's files could be anything from .shtml to .php to .asp

    Would appreciate any help/insight!

    I have just seen this recently in another post.

    Perhaps what you're seeing is a javaScript file that looks like this:
    Code:
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="page.asp">
    This code goes to the ASP page, which simply outputs JavaScript code (i.e document.Write's, etc.) and nothing else using ASP values. This is a nifty feature and I knew it would come in handy.

    This may be the way that they do it.

    Good luck with your "quest"!

    Thanks for the reply - YEs I believe that is how they do it. I actually managed to write what I had started off to implement.

    Thanks again. Take it easy.
