Hi,
I never did a ecommerce site before, and I have a client who I have to make a furniture store for. What is the cheapest way to accept credit cards? I went to CitiBank & they are very expenisive for "merchants shipping physical goods". Also, the webhost for the store has "Alacart Silver Manager" is it best to use this or a shopping cart say on a company like instabill.

If they're an aleady established company I'm surprised they don't have a merchant account already.

If they do you can accept the credit card info on line and the client can enter it manually off line for processing.

I don't think hey have one set up, they are not a retail store. It's a couple people who make original hand-made wood furniture.

Take a look at ***************.net. They offer merchant accounts shopping cart and e-commerce features. Maybe it may be helpful for you Shimmy.

***************.net's "Merchant Account" looks pretty epensive. $295 set up, then $55 a month. Anything cheaper?
