Image manipulation

Is there a way to resize image that have been loaded onto a server?

Either using a slider where the user could see the image reduce in scale or just automatically set the size to a specific amount of pixels...

Do you mean server-side?

By using GD Libraries, you could manipulate the image in any way you want, but it has to be server processed, and in affect the image will be reproduced by the time the page is displayed.

Alternatively, should you be looking at getting it done dynamically, some JavaScript code and DHTML might be capable.
