Not sure if this is the right forum.....

Also not sure what I am talking about....

I keep getting emails returned as undeliverable that I have not sent ( often containing DELETEDO.TXT ) so someone is obviously accessiing my email system. ( my own system provided with my domain by my webhost !&!.co.uk )

There is no evidence that I can find of them coming off of my own computer ( protected by Mcafee antivirus and firewal ) so I think they must be accessing my host server direct.

What the xxxx do I do ?

They probably just faked the headers and made it look like it was sent from your account. Happens to me, too.
If you post the headers of one of the mails here, we could see who is sending the mail.

Ok, I've faced a similar problem. However, I found out that a new file had creeped into my computer probably through another e-mail and was not on Norton's latest Virus definition list. Hence it hadn't been detected. I came to know of it when my ZoneAlarm prompted me if I could allow it to send e-mails or not. So it can be a bug, a file in your system that maybe doing this, but the e-mail add where it maybe sending e-mails to are just bouncingback as there may be no (such auto-generated by the file) ids.

But however, it maybe a series of targetted e-mails where you may recieve e-mails looking like, as Icheb said, the ones which you sent but infact are just modified subject titles and sent from names.

I think if you can, try to stop using that account, or try to see by opening a new POP3 account in your system to see if the problem prevails there as well. Thus, you can decide what really is the problem

nah if you get emails like that its netsky worm
thats what its set to do
my email gets pounded with them all the time, undeliverable, hi

all have a .txt file attached which is the worm.
