db based session

Ahem ... *cough* ... sorry about the n00b'ish tone of the post.

Could anyone be so kind as to explain or point me to a resource as to how to do db based session handling.

P.S. Google did not come up with helpful resources (atleast not on the first page )

DB based session handling? Do you mean storing the sessions in databases for use in the script?

You need to call session_start() and such though. Read up on sessions at php.net for other info.

Because that is not session handling but merely "who is logged"

Now that makes more sense dodga. Someone needs to write a tutorial / article on that
