    Here is what the chat.js has in it. this is what my html calls to show the java applet.

    document.writeln("<APPLET NAME='DigiChat' CODEBASE='http://server7.homelinux.net/DigiChat/DigiClasses/' ");
    document.writeln("CODE='com.diginet.digichat.client.DigiChatApplet' ");
    document.writeln("HEIGHT=100 WIDTH=200 ALIGN='MIDDLE' ");
    document.writeln("ARCHIVE=Client.jar MAYSCRIPT>");
    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=cabbase value=Client.cab>");

    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuItem1 VALUE=DigiChat>");
    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuLocation1 VALUE=http://www.digichat.com>");
    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuItem2 VALUE='DigiPosts BBS'>");
    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuLocation2 VALUE=http://www.digiposts.com>");

    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuLocation3 VALUE=http://www.hubz.com>");
    document.write(" <PARAM NAME=MenuItem4 VALUE='Enclave Community Suite'>");

    I'm not a Java guru, but AFAIK you can't style Java UI widgets with CSS nor HTML - if that's what you're asking.

    Do you want us to move this thread to the Java forum? You might get better responses there.

    I briefly looked at the digichat.com site. It seems to be very feature-rich - it's skinnable, has a scriptable API, you can write your own plugins, etc. Have you contacted tech support at digichat for advise on how to proceed?
