    I stick with home site. Just some basic color coding, but I like having the file menu that comes with homesite. I can have 2 directories open at once and quickly swtich between files, tabbed view etc. Ultraedit isn't bad either.

    I use Zend Studio. It has got all the basic features that a text editor has (syntax highlighting, etc) plus a PHP debugger and a profiler. The debugger is excellent when you simply cannot figure out where you made a mistake.

    Loved homesite for html, css and ecmascript, but never really used it for php... I've been using Xcode for that, but I think that's not really the best solution...

    i use editpad lite. it's nothing fancy but it does the job and it has a few really cool features

    oh yeah, and free
