    I want to run a perl script via PHP and have the data returned by the perl script to be inserted into a variable inside PHP.

    Would my context be something like this? :
    $text = (perl script.cgi?var1=abc&var2=xyz);

    Thanks alot.

    Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but .. does anyone know if there's any way to capture the output from virtual() into a variable (I imagine that's more or less what you're doing with exec(), but .. )

    ... what's the world coming to?
