    I just received one of these today:

    Dear paypal user, We would like to inform you that we are upgrading our server to install a better protection software. So please click here and fill in the registration form again to renew your account.

    Paypal Administration.

    Thank you for a using PayPal!
    The url doesnt even point to paypal.com and it wasn't my paypal email. So just watch out..

    hmm i get similar emails. Its a time waster for the spammer- I just click delete! :-D

    These have been going around for months. Always log into any financial institution site directly and never by clicking a link in an email.

    Whenever these come around you should be able to check out the official site and if they don't have a clear news notice, it's a phish.

    I don't believe how stupid they sometimes are. I got mail from Citybank (even don't have account there) asking me to follow link and enter my credit card number for "security" reasons...I don't think even 4-year old would fall on that...

    That is the best way to put it ! The Paypal e-mails have been coming in my account for a long time now and i've even put them into as spam now.
