    arthu01,

It does not work, I get this message:

Error establishing a database connection! This probably means that the connection information in youn wp-config.php file is incorrect. Double check it and try again.

Are you sure you have the correct user/password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

    Nice looking site

my only complain is the links under "on the forums" the links are a little cluttered the seem to all run together

try a line break or a horizontal divider bar

    Hi,

    - Some XHTML errors, the CSS is valid though.
    - I would increase a bit the padding in .block .post and children.
    - Links are in red, but other elements are too, it's confusing.
    - "Syndicate this site" this is a widely used wrong meaning.
Syndication is providing an HTML content as an XML feed, aggregation is displaying several of these feeds. You could say however : "Subscribe to the feed".
    - The contact form is quite not well displayed in FireFox, it's ok in Safari.

I didn't find any major bug in Safari 1.2.3

nice design, but i'd add another colour... it looks a little flat at the moment.

maybe try navy blue or bottle green to match the dark red

Well, I'm on a mac with safari but not an updated version and it all worked out for me.
I think the site is very consistent but I don't find it as easy to navigate when a page scrolls down forever.
Also, the site might be well loved by it's followers , in which case, there's no problem. But I personally find it boring visually and lacking imagination. However, I can see how such a site might be better tailored to simple graphics.

    Cheers,

    pav

Colours look just wrong, Site dont look like a Holy web site needs way better background.
The grey backround tops the cake, i just do not like it. Bible quotes on the front is a nice thing keep that up.

Search is good, seems to work

What i would improve is Soft images of Holy places that the Religion looks apon alot...
    with high Alpha intensity,

Poetry looks good and depressing kinda?
One thing is i think it needs more Sub-Catagorys on selections, Like Poetry would be a good place to start on that.. Links page looks well done with a nice list of links

So get better colours toss greybackround into darkmatter and get a new one.....

    1. Requires at least one image, look more bookish.
    2. Text Font sizes are different throughout the site and text seems to be jumbled up. So a space in between each line will make the site look clean.

    arthuc01,

I thought your site is nicely programmed, but overall design could be better. There are not very many graphics, graidents, or even a lot of colors on your page.

The quote on the right hand side looks nice though as does the main body area.

The bad things mainly have to do with colors, font sizes, fonts, and graphics. I would try using different shades of blue if you intend to go that route. The font size I feel is too big for the links, but they are perfect for the text. Maybe try a differnet font instead of the one you used.

    Mozilla 1.7.2 - WinXP - DSL connection

First of all i must make a compliment about the way the site is programmed. Clean HTML and good use of CSS. The website loads very fast which is good too.

My only comment goes out to the design, which is quite boring. Maybe you could use a different color scheme and different fonttype for headings and paragraphs? You can also use some photo's.

Clean, neat design viewed in Firefox 1 on XP pro SP1.

Personally I dont like the background tile (maybe a little more subtlety would suffice).

I agree a couple of well placed images would aesthetically improve the site. Also I would put some more padding around the blocks of text, and maybe increase the line spacing somewhat.

Overall, the coding seems well done (no tables... nice).

As mentioned by pentagram, I am also strongly adversed to the content, but lets not get into that. :S

    Thumbs up

    Chris,

A small SEO point. Your keywords in Meta tags are:

"watchtower, jehovas, jehova, witness, witness, bible, tract, towerwatch"

And they may well have a good ratio to the same words used on your main page. However if you you search for those key words in Google you find - your guestbook only.

If you changed the word "jehovas" to "jehova's" in your keywords, you may well find that in Google this selection of keywords has well named website http://www.towerwatch.com/ at the No1. spot. Their Meta tag keywords are:

"Jehovah's Witnesses, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, Jehovah Witnesses, Watchtower, Jehovahs Witnesses, Church Speakers Columbus Ohio, Ex-Jehovah's Witness Support Group Columbus Ohio, Jehovah Witness, Bible study group seminars Columbus Ohio, Christians, Former Jehovah's Witnesses, cults, EX JW, Jehovah's Witnessess books, Jehovah's Witnesses cd's, revelation"

This website looks very similar to your own in terms of content. Are you two by any chance "related" ?

I think you should try increasing the line height for your paragraphs a little so it is easier to read. Maybe you should also consider throwing another color into the mix to liven the design up, some warm colors for your forum links for example. My eye tends to wander around the page looking for something to stand out. I'm viewing in Firebird on a mac.

    I have a suggestion:

    1. Try having a border around each of the sections. This will make it look less like everything is all jumbled together.
