    why does this not work?

    Code:
    <style>
    table {}
    .foo {font-size:11px;}
    td.foo {border:5px green solid;}
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table border="0">
    <tr class="foo">
    <td>
    This is the fooo
    </td>
    <tr>
    </table>
    I am really confused, I thought that this would work. But for some reason it does not.
    I am not sure that if I am missing something or if I am completely wrong. Please no comments about tables, it's not really my choice. I know that we should be using positioning, but I recieve the checks and don't write them.
    Thanks in advance.

    Code:
    td.foo {border:5px green solid;}
    For this to work, you should apply the foo class to the <td /> tag, not the <tr /> tag as you're doing right now.
