    Hi Omair,

WebAdverts provides a solid service for small sites. Once you start demanding a few 100,000 ad requests/month, it will bog down your server.

I've long maintained that the best free ad serving solution is AdCycle. Although nowhere near as scalable as the high-end commercial solutions, its FastCGI version can serve anything up to 1 million ad views/day on a single server. It also supports rich-media, multiple ad sizes, banner and campaign weighting, domain targeting, multiple ad spaces, etc, etc, etc. Requires MySQL.

I'd love to help, but that's not really my area of expertise. A better bet would be to make this request to your host. They have both the licenses and the expertise to install and manage database software on their servers.

I addressed this question a few hours ago:
I'd love to help, but that's not really my area of expertise. A better bet would be to make this request to your host. They have both the licenses and the expertise to install and manage database software on their servers.
Talk to your host about this. They will be able to install MySQL for you.

Great. All that you have to do now is visit AdCycle.com, download the software and follow the installation instructions to the letter.

There are also plenty of installation tips found within their forums:
    http://www.adcycle.com/forum/index.php
As well as contact details for expert installers, who are available to install and configure the script for a small fee if you aren't able to do this yourself.

I personally use WebADverts and its a really resource hogging scripts as with many similar advertising script.

In the internet, advertising scripts are resource taxing and needs you to have a good or dedicated service for it.

I'm currently running WebAdverts on a Dual P3 866MHZ 512MB RAM with 1 site taking around 200,000 ad impression daily and CPU resources is around 2 (so far) at MAX which is good.

If you're a PHP expert, try to take a look at another WebAdvert copy called http://www.dot-banner.com/

They claim to be able to serve 2 million ad impressions daily on a P2..???? However, so far, no users yet and their interface is exactly same as WebAdverts.

If you can afford to pay, I suggest get AdvertPro but then again, for a small scale site, any free advertising script should do.

    Hello there

Well, don't know about PHP scripts, but when it comes to ASP the best free advertising solution is AdMentor:
    AspCode.net

unless of course you have a 1000 USD per month to pay for a system like DART
