Gymnastics password protected area

Hey all i got a question for everyone. Im currently in production of a website that is going to need a password protected area that will enable universities to login and view info/video/pictures or specific athletes. What would you recommend as far as coding for this? and anyone got any examples by chance? Thanks a ton!

the easiest way is if you have cpanel to use password protection on directiories or if you have a database set up have the database show a link that matches their login to go to certain page

If you don't want to go down the cpanel/.htaccess route then it's fairly straight forward to set up a simple password protected area using php, asp or another scripting language depending on what your web server supports.

There are plenty of scripts out there you can download and set up with a minimal level of coding if you don't want to do this.

For an idea of what's out there take a look at http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Script...ion/index.html - these are password protection scripts in PHP but similar stuff is availablle for other scripting languages.
