    [kinda off topic]

Just had an idea. We should do a challenge to get those with <1% FireFox to get their visiter % of FireFox users >10%.

    Just an idea.

    Ultimate-X has about 5% FireFox
AlphaDogSyndicate has about 3% FireFox [off the top of my head, looked at it a couple days ago]

    Mozilla - 100%

Ok. Ok. I'm cheating as this refers to an Intranet and we have recently installed Firefox.

M$ IE6 is still available on the machines though and GOD HELP ANY EMPLOYEE WHO DARES USE IT. I have them cowering before me, too scared to return to IE as I will make them wear a placard labelled 'TRAITOR' if they do.

My business' site... same one in the signature.
(July... pretty consistent most months though)

    Internet Explorer 82.8%
    Safari 6.4%
    Netscape 5.7%
    Unknown 4.6%
    Konqueror 0.1%
    Opera 0.1%

I'll have to see if I can dial in AWStats to seperate Mozilla from Netscape and see what I get.

From 2 of my companies e-commerce sites. One geared towards B2B and the other is consumerish.

    B2B:
    IE6: 79.2%
    IE5: 13.4%
    NS7: 2.2%
    Mozilla: 1.6%
    NS4: 1.6% (die die die!)

    Consumerish:
    IE6: 71.4%
    IE5: 14.9%
    NS7: 3.8%
    Mozilla: 3.0%
    NS4: 1.1%

The funny thing is our sites look really super bad on NS4!

For my golf forum, here are this months stats.

    Firebird - 0.1%
    Opera - 0.5%
    Safari - 1.1%
    Mozilla - 4.7%

The thing to note is that I tend to use Mozilla so this number may be inflated a bit. In any case, it would be less than it is if I never browsed my own site.

What Netscape? AOL killed that off long ago, when it was already based on Mozilla, and the Mozilla project became its own entity.

I think that the majority of stats posted here are inaccurate. It would be nice to know which stats system you're using to get your results, because a lot of stats programs are not reliable at all. Some stats programs throw Mozilla in the Netscape category, some throw Netscape in the Mozilla category, some throw Opera in the Mozilla category, some throw Opera in the IE category, etc. These stats mean nothing if we do not know how the system works, thus, you should provide the name of the product/tool you're using to get your stats

What in the nine hells would that accomplish for you site, and how would you do it? Change the content of your site so that it attracts more webmasters/gamers?

http://www.hackergames.net/: Targeted towards computer security enthusiasts

    70% - MSIE
    25% - Mozilla

http://www.snarkles.net/: Personal domain, has a mishmash of things, including a fairly popular text-to-binary conversion script that gets referenced from the oddest of places

    66% - MSIE
    23% - Mozilla

Oh, and the stats are generated from Analog 2.53, which does seem to lump Mozilla and Netscape together. Opera and bots and whatnot are still separate though.

Darn Netscape, I can't fathom why people would use it over Mozilla/Firefox. Ignorance, I suppose. I personally use Safari and my stats programs, PowerPhlogger and AXS, don't provide stats for it.

The latest Netscape releases are actually built using gecko rendering engine and mozilla's XUL interface system. It's basically one of the earlier Mozilla releases

    Over the past week:
    1 IE 82.9
    2 Other 9.6
    3 Netscape 6.1
    4 Internet Proxy 1.3
    5 Opera 0.1

Hard to say for me, but this is the lowest IE has ever been. If I look over the past month, IE is much higher. However - my forums members are getting each other to use FireFox to avoid scumware and such.

We don't specifically measure Mozi... but in the last month on all our sites that we record traffic for (we don't measure them all yet - new product in testing) "Unknown" accounted for 1,373 hits out of about 235,000 hits. Considering that "Unknown" includes spiders, etc., that's clearly a miniscule % of our users...!

This is for assorted UK corporate recruitment sites.
