    Talking Dotted underline of links? SOLVED!!

    SOLVED : the code for the colour of the dotted underlines was mistyped as 00080 rather than 000080 - for some reason (for once!!) ie6 was LESS forgiving than Opera7 and ignored it...

    Sorry to have taken up forum space!

    Richard

    ======================================================

    I've tried the following CSS to give a dotted underline to my links:
    Code:
    a:link {text-decoration:none;color:black;margin: 0;padding: 0;border-bottom: 1px dotted #00080;font-weight:400; }
    a:visited {text-decoration:none;color:black;margin: 0;padding: 0;border-bottom: 1px dotted #00080;font-weight:400; }
    a:hover {text-decoration:none; color: #000080;margin: 0;padding: 0;border-bottom: none;font-weight:400; }
    It works fine in Opera7, but when I try it in ie6 the dots don't show at all! Is it do-able in ie6?

    If you need more code, I can provide it, but the actual links are pretty standard...

    Thanks in advance.

    Richard

    Dotted isn't supported in IE and appears as dashed.

    yea, it's nothing really to be too concerned about mainly because it's not a big style issue. we can all live with dots being dashes.

    dots to me under links looks really good and I use them, IE users can just live with dashes. Most of my members on my site I convince to use Opera anyways.
