I just bought $40 worth of "Targeted Traffic" from targetedtrafic.info. Dan Grossman's posts seem honet here, and I'm interested to see how this converts. I'll keep ya'll posted. Anyone have reviews about it?

You don't want to use adsense on popups.

I just purchased another 1000 untargetted visitors through http://www.visitorboost.com for BeginSurf.com, hopefully the site is so general that most users will make use of it.

    We'll soon see.

For maximum results, my advice to you is to create a special landing page that includes the following:

Large lettering, headings, attractive images, catch phrases and other common techniques will get users to check out what you have to offer. If you donít get the visitorís attention FAST, they will simply leave your site! Give them a reason to stay! Look at the ads used by major sites like Orbitz and X10 Ė they NEVER have more than a few words of text and are always colorful. The point isnít to sell right away Ė it is to get the visitorís attention.

I have actually bought 22,000 targeted hits and did not recieve one single sale out of those 22,000 hits. I bought my traffic from traffictaxi.com and even though they sent all the hits it just didnt do anything for me. I am pretty sure people are able to generate some kind of sales by buying hits. I am currently an affiliate for a few different sites and am on a search to find the most profitable traffic sources. Has anyone experienced any conversions with buying targeted traffic?

I bought 10,000 targeted visitors once for about $40.00. I forget the name of the website I bought the traffic from. However, I didn't earn a single dime from the traffic. As a matter of fact, not one visitor that was sent to my website looked around. Each visitor had a unique IP address. But you would think that out of 10,000 visitors, one would at lease click on a Google ad, or look at another page on your website.

but visitors means unique visitors? I have bought 10,000 targetted vistors and received around 60 in 2 days. and in the site the stats said i they showed that they have sent 501 visitors?!?

How is this possible? My stats dont even have 500 if i count up the visitors for 2 days

There are several reasons a visit might not register with your counter:

    * A user cancels out the window before your site loads
    * The user is on a slow connection and the request times out
    * The user is behind an ISP with a proxy ex. AOL
    * The user's browser served the page from cache instead of your server
    * Your site was unavailable at the time of request
    * Your tracking software was unavailable at the time of request
    * Your tracking software could not handle concurrent connections

You should check your web server access logs or log based stats such as Awstats, Webalizer or Urchin for the most accurate statistics. These are often run once a day on the previous day's server logs, making them 24 hours behind.
