    quick help on database please

    Hi.

    I got a question.

Can i use a windows application created with vs.net to access a database stored on a webserver? I can get the password and username for the database, but i just want to make sure that a web server will allow a remote connection to a database... and on the connection string in the place for the database location how would I enter it?

    like this? DataSource=http://www.company.com/database/db.mdb
for access and then something similiar for SQL?

    Thanks!!!

Surprisingly, this seems to be possible.

Interesting article. SQL is easy, look up stuff on remote connections to SQL DBs. Pretty easy presuming the DB is web-accessible.
