Does anybody know a good (read: simple) way to send a message from a form on your web site to a fax machine at a business?

I may be willing to pay if it's not too expensive and the cost can be passed on to the client.

Okay, y'all can all send me some cash for this as a reward.

I've been doing this for a few years when I've been on the road, it's basically emailing a fax machine.

This site: http://www.tpc.int/ Has a list of 'remote printers' hooked up to fax machines.

I use one in the Houston area to send info to my company's fax. The 'email address' for the fax is:
    remote-printer.STEELSUN@17132272227.iddd.tpc.int

Where STEELSUN is the name the fax is addressed to and the number after the @ sign is obviously my fax number.

This service/site is not well known on the modern web, it was first started years ago during the dawn of the web as an experiment that happens to still be active.

Keep in mind that any FREE service is not guaranteed. The service may fail at any time, and you will have no recourse or alternative.

If it is e-commerce site, then look around for a company that offers this service.. they should AT LEAST have a 1-800 number for customer service in case of failure.

    Try efax.com
    - A simple online WYSIWYG editor for HTML code snippets.
    - Managed Web Hosting - $3.95/month (resellers welcome)
    - Why pay more? $8.95 domains & $9.95 SSL certificates!

I ran across a pizzeria website that took orders online. I wondered how they did that and saw they were linked to

    http://www.faxmachinesonline.com/

Seems this company will give you an email address and anything sent to that email address will automatically get faxed to a phone number you specify.

The cost is $10 setup and 15 cents a page with a $10 a month minimum charge.

It seems to be run by Meixler Technologies - the same company that provides WebsiteTrafficReport.com, which was a fine free traffic stats provider until they started forcing pop-ups on your page.

Can't speak about FaxMachinesOnline.com, but I do know a pizzeria around my place is using it.

    Hope that's helpful.
